BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraqi Airways carried 260,933 passengers on 1,468 direct flights in July, the national carrier said on August 7, 2026. The flights served domestic, regional and international destinations, according to a written statement from the airline's Director General, Mustafa Talib.
Talib said the figures reflected the operational plan carried out under Transport Minister Waheb al-Hasani and that the steady increase in passenger numbers was being met. The statement said operations were running smoothly in line with safety and regularity standards.
The director general added that development programs aimed at raising service quality and expanding the route network of the airline's fleet, known as the "Green Plane," were continuing. He said the work was intended to meet passenger expectations.
