Iraqi Parliament sets three-item agenda for Sunday session

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The Iraqi Council of Representatives announced that its Sunday session will serve as the eighth session of the electoral period and the second session of the first legislative year of the legislative term. The agenda, published Saturday, contains three items. The first item is the completion of the first reading of the Child Care Draft Law, which has a single article remaining. Lawmakers are also expected to hold the first reading of the Second Amendment Draft to the Mukhtars Law No. 2011 of 2011, an eight-article bill. The agenda further includes the second reading and deliberation of the Twenty-Second Amendment Draft to the Civil Service Personnel Law No. 25 of 1960. Parliament's administration said the session will be held on Sunday in accordance with the three-item agenda.
