BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Meteorological Organization said temperatures will rise across the country in the coming days, with clear skies and light to moderate winds expected through the weekend.
According to the agency's forecast issued on Friday, Friday's weather will be clear nationwide, with moderate northwesterly winds in central and southern regions and light, variable winds in the north. Temperatures are expected to climb slightly compared with Thursday.
The forecast said Saturday will also be clear, with moderate northwesterly winds in central and southern Iraq and light variable winds in the north. On Sunday, partly cloudy conditions are expected in eastern parts of the northern region, while the rest of the country will see clear skies, with temperatures rising slightly from the previous day.
Monday's outlook includes local cloud cover in the northern region, with northwesterly winds of light to moderate speed across central and southern areas, in some places exceeding 30 kilometers per hour. The agency said expected high temperatures on Friday will range between 40 and 48 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Organization did not provide further details beyond its three-day outlook.
