Iraq sets Sept. 1 start for fine arts institute applications

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Ministry of Education has announced the application timetable for fine arts institutes for the 2026-2027 academic year. According to the ministry, the Directorate General for Teacher Preparation, Training and Development said applications for morning and evening programs will open on September 1, 2026 and run through September 17, 2026. The ministry said interviews and examinations will begin on September 20 and continue until October 1, 2026. It urged applicants to follow the published schedule and complete all steps within the announced dates. Prospective students were instructed to download the required forms through the designated link and fill in the necessary information. The Education Ministry said additional details about the process are available on the application portal.
