Iraq Stock Exchange Weekly Turnover Tops $66 Million

The Iraq Stock Exchange recorded 5,718 transactions worth 86.72 billion Iraqi dinars last week, with weekly turnover reaching about $66.2 million and rising 958% from the previous week. The performance underscored a sharp pickup in market activity across the exchange’s five trading sessions from Monday to Thursday. A total of 104 companies traded during the week, while eight companies were suspended for failing to submit mandatory disclosures. The market’s main ISX60 index fell to 944.57 points and posted a weekly decline of 0.46%. Foreign investors bought shares worth 143 million dinars in 53 transactions and sold shares worth 1 billion dinars in 138 transactions. The figures point to continued international participation in the Iraqi market despite the week’s modest index decline.
