Iraq’s Communications and Media Commission has completed an operational plan to keep mobile networks and internet services stable during Eid al-Adha, with monitoring and technical teams deployed across all provinces to oversee service quality. The measures are aimed at maintaining performance during the holiday’s peak traffic periods, when network demand typically rises.
Under the plan, licensed mobile operators have been instructed to comply with specified quality standards during heavy-use hours. The commission said companies that fail to meet their service obligations will face legal action.
Ten field teams have also been assigned in Baghdad and other provinces to monitor service in shopping malls, playgrounds, main streets and densely populated neighborhoods. The teams will measure data speed and voice call quality using approved devices.
The commission said the teams are prepared to respond immediately to consumer complaints as part of the holiday monitoring effort. The plan is intended to protect service continuity and ensure a more stable communications environment during the Eid period.
