BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Minister of Transport has carried out a wide-ranging administrative reshuffle within the country's Holy Shrines Airports Authority, dismissing several department heads and section chiefs. The Ministry of Transport said the changes affected the directors of legal affairs, finance, human resources, the audit unit and the contracts branch.
Also removed were the director of the airports security unit, the deputy director general of the Holy Shrines Airports Authority and the head of the civil engineering branch, according to the ministry's orders. The dismissals were issued through formal ministerial decrees.
The ministry said new appointments and interim acting roles would be arranged separately under the same directives. In a statement, it described the changes as a routine organizational process aimed at improving efficiency in airport management.
