BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's imports of coffee, tea, mate and spices fell to about $188.1 million in 2025, down from $438.7 million a year earlier, according to International Trade Centre (ITC) trade map data. The drop reversed four consecutive years of growth, during which imports rose from $273.4 million in 2021 to $314.2 million in 2022, $365.5 million in 2023 and $438.7 million in 2024.
Global imports of the same product group climbed to $94.4 billion in 2025 from $74.9 billion in 2024, with the United States the largest buyer at $15.5 billion, followed by Germany at $10 billion, France, Italy and Canada.
Regional figures showed Saudi Arabia importing more than $1.84 billion of coffee, tea, mate and spices in 2025, with Jordan at $290.1 million and Kuwait at $168.4 million. No immediate explanation was provided in the ITC data for the decline in Iraq's imports.
