BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The Iraqi Journalists' Union issued a formal statement on 19 August 2026 condemning threats directed at Judge Faiq Zidan, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council. The union described the threats as an open assault on the country's judicial institution.
