ERBIL, Iraq โ Erbil Club announced on Tuesday that it has signed Iraq national team player Ibrahim Bayesh to a one-year contract covering the 2026-2027 season. The club said the deal was finalized after the two sides reached agreement on all terms.
Erlil's management described Bayesh as one of the most notable signings of the club's summer transfer window. He is expected to join team training in the coming days as Erbil prepares for the start of the Iraqi Stars League.
Bayesh moved to Erbil after he and Saudi side Al-Riyadh mutually terminated his contract in February 2026. The club said the signing is part of a broader effort to strengthen the squad with experienced, technically capable players ahead of the new season.
Erbil finished last season third in the league with 79 points and is seeking to build a squad capable of contending for the title this term. No further details on the contract were immediately available.
