Iraq Cabinet Approves Security Agreement With Spain

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq's Council of Ministers approved a security and law enforcement cooperation agreement with Spain during its fifth regular session of the year, chaired by Prime Minister Ali Falih ez-Zeydi. The Cabinet also decided to continue directing revenues from petroleum product exports to the Ministry of Finance account. Authorities instructed relevant ministries to implement previous measures addressing Baghdad's traffic congestion. The Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Construction and Housing, Ministry of Municipalities and Public Works, Ministry of Transport, and the Baghdad Operations Command will coordinate on the initiative. The Cabinet approved a draft amendment to the 2010 Competition and Prevention of Monopoly Law and referred it to the Iraqi Parliament for consideration.
