Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said progress in talks mediated by Qatar and Pakistan in Switzerland depends on the United States fully honoring its commitments and putting them into practice. In a statement on his social media account, Pezeshkian said public remarks that go beyond the agreed framework do not help the negotiation process.
The Iranian president added that progress will be measured by the implementation of accepted responsibilities, and that the viability of the talks is directly tied to the precise execution of what has been agreed. Pezeshkian did not specify which commitments he was referring to or outline a timeline for further negotiations.
Separately, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf reiterated Iran's support for efforts to preserve Lebanon's territorial integrity. Ghalibaf said the ongoing consultations aim to secure Lebanese sovereignty across all its territory and that this objective will be pursued until a final resolution is reached.
