US Central Command revises map after showing West Bank and Gaza inside Israel

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) revised a map published in connection with a regional tour by Lieutenant General Brad Cooper, after the original graphic depicted the West Bank and Gaza within Israel's borders rather than as separate territories. In the earlier version of the map, the West Bank and Gaza were shown in the same color band used to represent Israel, without distinct borders separating them from Israeli territory, prompting questions about how the military command was presenting the boundaries. Cooper completed a 10-day, six-country tour on Saturday, visiting Bahrain, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
