Iran has restored full and unrestricted access to the international internet across the country, ending an interruption that lasted about 90 days after the US-Israel war. The move restores nationwide access to foreign websites and marks a return to normal connectivity after a prolonged shutdown.
Iranian state television said the connection had returned to normal completely through Iran Telecommunication Company. Internet monitoring data had earlier shown that access was only partially restored before the full reopening.
President Masoud Pezeshkian also instructed yesterday that access to international internet sites be reopened. The directive came as authorities moved to re-establish services after the extended disruption.
Access to international websites in Iran had been cut off for nearly 90 days following the US-Israel war. The restoration now brings back countrywide, unrestricted connectivity to external online services.
