BANDAR ABBAS, Iran — Iranian officials announced that the United States conducted air strikes on Thursday afternoon in the city of Bandar Abbas, located in Hormozgan province. According to Iranian authorities, the first target was hit at 6:20 p.m. local time, followed by a second strike at 6:40 p.m. The attacks occurred hours after Iranian media reported explosions near the Port of Bandar Abbas and Qeshm Island. Officials stated that there were no casualties or damage to residential and commercial infrastructure resulting from the strikes. The incidents follow the collapse of a temporary agreement intended to halt conflicts between the two nations. The U.S. and Iran have engaged in mutual attacks over the past several days.
