Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization on Sunday denied claims that some airports in Tehran’s airspace had been closed, saying no new aviation notice has been issued and flight schedules remain unchanged. The announcement came after reports circulated on social media suggesting airport shutdowns.
A spokesperson for the organization said there has been no alteration to flight plans, and authorities confirmed that flights across the country are continuing normally according to the established schedule.
The denial was intended to counter uncertainty created by the online rumors, which had suggested disruption at airports in the capital’s airspace. Officials said the operating status of the aviation network remains unchanged.
