BAGHDAD, Iraq โ The price of imported gold in Iraqi markets climbed above 1 million dinars per mischal on Tuesday, according to an economic report, reflecting daily price movements in the bullion market. Market sources said buyers and sellers were tracking prices more closely after imported gold crossed the 1-million-dinar threshold.
Local jewelers said the rise in unit prices has been reflected in sales, with demand adjusting to shifts in pricing. They added that locally produced gold continued to trade below the imported metal on the domestic market.
Officials noted that gold prices can change in line with movements in global markets and fluctuations in the exchange rate. No further details were immediately available.
