SANAA, Yemen โ€” Yemen's Houthi movement said it targeted sensitive sites along an oil pipeline stretching from eastern Saudi Arabia to the city of Yanbu with drones on Wednesday. The group's military spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Saree, said in a written statement that the armed forces had struck critical targets linked to Saudi Arabia's crude oil supply and transport. Saree said the operation was carried out in response to Saudi drones violating Yemeni airspace. The Houthis have claimed similar attacks on Saudi oil infrastructure in recent months, citing concerns about the security of energy facilities in the region. An oil pipeline running from Saudi Arabia's eastern province to Yanbu on the Red Sea coast is a key route for crude exports. Saudi Arabia had not issued an official statement on the reported attack at the time of writing.
