Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Kassem said he hopes a full ceasefire will be secured and that Lebanon will be included in the agreement between the United States and Iran. He also said Iran would emerge from the process in a strong position and remain an important international actor.
Kassem directed criticism at the Lebanese government, saying it should resign if it cannot ensure sovereignty. He argued that concentrating weapons in one hand at this stage would target the resistance and weaken Lebanonโs defensive capabilities.
Separately, Donald Trump said the talks with Iran are completely different from the agreement reached during the Obama era. A US official said the parties are not close to a final agreement.
