Hashd al-Shaabi Defuses Explosive Device on Haditha-Beiji Road

ANBAR, Iraq — The Hashd al-Shaabi announced that an explosive device was discovered and neutralized on the road between Haditha and Beiji in Anbar province during road paving operations. According to a written statement released today, crews from a company working on the paving project identified the explosive material and notified authorities. In response, the 4th Battalion of the 57th Division, under the Anbar Operations Command, and the 2nd Special Operations Brigade, under the Jazeera Operations Command, were deployed to the site. Security forces removed the device following established procedures and carried out a controlled detonation. The statement confirmed that no damage occurred during the explosion. The road has since been reopened to traffic, allowing civilians to move safely. The organization stated that these efforts are part of ongoing measures to protect citizens and ensure security along strategic routes.
