Iraq's Supreme Council for Financial and Monetary Stability holds second session

The meeting reviewed national financial, monetary and economic indicators, along with current challenges facing the country. Participants discussed strengthening coordination between fiscal and monetary policies to reinforce stability. The agenda also covered more effective management of non-oil resources, liquidity provision to the market and support for reform steps in the banking sector. Al-Zeydi stressed the need to maintain coordination among ministries and institutions and called for follow-up on the decisions adopted. The council endorsed practical solutions to fiscal and monetary difficulties and approved support for non-oil economic activities in particular.
