Russia's Defense Ministry said Saturday that 360 Ukrainian drones were shot down over Russian territory in a 12-hour window. According to the ministry, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed the unmanned aerial vehicles between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time.
The ministry said the drones were brought down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kaluga, Kursk, Oryol, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver, Tula and Moscow regions, as well as over Krasnodar Krai. Additional interceptions were reported over the Republic of Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
The ministry said Russian air defenses remain on continuous duty in response to escalating Ukrainian drone strikes against border regions and areas deeper inside Russia. It described the single day-night tally as one of the highest figures recorded in recent weeks.
