Gold Prices Hold Steady in Baghdad as Erbil Sees a Slight Decline

Gold prices in Iraq were unchanged in Baghdad and edged lower in Erbil, while the dollar also weakened in both cities. The moves were tracked alongside local trading in a market closely watched by consumers and jewelers.
In Baghdadโs wholesale market, the selling price of 21-karat Gulf, Turkish and European gold was 970,000 dinars, while the buying price stood at 966,000 dinars. The 21-karat Iraqi gold price was recorded at 940,000 dinars for selling and 936,000 dinars for buying.
At jewelry shops, 21-karat Gulf gold was sold for between 970,000 and 980,000 dinars. The selling price of Iraqi gold ranged from 940,000 to 950,000 dinars.
In Erbil, 22-karat gold sold at 1,014,000 dinars, 21-karat gold at 968,000 dinars and 18-karat gold at 830,000 dinars. The decline in the dollar exchange rate in Baghdad and Erbil was also followed in parallel with the movement in gold prices.
