Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi says 'Gabi Minnah Fih 2' to begin filming in 2027

Egyptian actor Hani Ramzi said the second installment of his 2004 film "Gabi Minnah Fih" is in preparation, with filming planned to start in 2027 and the movie set for release the same year. Ramzi said the screenplay has been rewritten several times, with Ahmed Abdullah, the writer of the first film, also working on the script. In remarks reported on Tuesday, Ramzi said no director has yet been attached to the project and the cast for the new installment has not been finalized. He did not name any actors in talks or confirm other production details. Ramzi also shared a personal anecdote involving the late actor Lotfy Labib, recalling that Labib once claimed several comedians had suffered strokes and predicted he would face the same fate. He said Labib cited figures including Yunus Shelbi, Sid Ziyad, Wahid Seif and George Sidhom in making that observation, without elaborating on the context.
