Erbil traffic directorate announces road closures at airport junction for maintenance

ERBIL, Iraq — Erbil's Traffic Directorate said a lane leading from the 40-meter street to the airport junction will be closed to vehicles for two hours starting at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026, to allow maintenance work on the junction's signaling system. Once the first phase is complete, a second closure will follow for two hours on the lane stretching from the passport junction on the 100-meter street to the airport junction. The directorate said the affected lanes will be reopened to traffic once the maintenance work is finished.
