ERBIL, Iraq โ A drone struck a camp linked to Iranian opposition groups in the Koysanjak district north of Erbil, causing heavy material damage but no casualties, a Kurdish Democratic Party official said on Saturday.
Karim Purveizi, a member of the KDP's Iran administration, said the unmanned aircraft hit a residential structure inside the Zivey Sepi camp. He said no deaths or injuries were reported among the camp's residents.
The camp, located in northern Erbil governorate, is known to host Iranian opposition groups, though Purveizi did not identify the specific factions present at the site.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the strike, and Iraqi or Kurdish authorities have not yet commented publicly on the incident.
