RAMADI, Iraq โ A group of doctors and health workers in Anbar Province held a protest Saturday in front of the Doctors' Union building in Ramadi, demanding the payment of overdue salaries and permanent status for their positions.
Ahmed Abdullah, one of the participating doctors, said financial rights and monthly salaries have not been paid for more than five months. He said many healthcare workers are operating under difficult conditions despite receiving no compensation for an extended period.
The demonstrators called on the Ministry of Health and local authorities to urgently resolve the issue. They said meeting their demands would ensure stability in their duties and enable better service to patients.
No further details on a timeline for payment were immediately available.
