Doctors Protest in Ramadi Over Unpaid Salaries, Demand Permanent Positions

RAMADI, Iraq — A group of doctors and health workers in Anbar Province held a protest Saturday in front of the Doctors' Union building in Ramadi, demanding the payment of overdue salaries and permanent status for their positions. Ahmed Abdullah, one of the participating doctors, said financial rights and monthly salaries have not been paid for more than five months. He said many healthcare workers are operating under difficult conditions despite receiving no compensation for an extended period.
