Diyala launches security plan for Eid al-Adha

Diyala Provincial Council said the security plan prepared for Eid al-Adha has gone into effect. The plan is based on six priorities and focuses on protecting places of worship, mosques, cemeteries, parks, tourist sites, markets and shopping centers. Officials said roads will not be closed and no militarization will be imposed on the streets. Instead, flexible security measures will be used to allow citizens to move freely. They said the security situation in Diyala is stable, and many families are expected to go out during the holiday. The provincial administration said the city is capable of handling major events without creating additional strain.
