Construction on Baghdad's Rixos Hotel and Residences passes 60%

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Qatar-based Estithmar Real Estate Iraq said construction on the Rixos Baghdad Hotel and Residences project in Baghdad has passed 60%. The company said work is continuing and the contractor is scheduled to deliver the project in the first quarter of 2027. The project will be managed by French hotel group Accor, according to the company. Rixos Baghdad Hotel & Residences is designed to include 322 hotel rooms, 159 residences, nine villas and six restaurants. The project received the “Luxury Project of the Year” award at the Construction Innovation Awards 2025 in Dubai.
