LONDON โ A bulk carrier transiting the Strait of Hormuz was struck by an unidentified object off the coast of Oman, sustaining damage to its starboard side and leaving one crew member injured, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said. The incident occurred late on Friday near the Omani city of Hasb, according to the UKMTO advisory.
UKMTO said no other damage or environmental impact was recorded. An investigation has been launched by the relevant authorities, the agency added.
