Baghdad Rixos Hotel and Residences Project Passes 60% Completion

The Rixos Hotel and Residences project in central Baghdad has passed 60% completion and is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2027, according to the developer. The project is expected to add about $1.4 billion to the national economy and will be the first five-star hotel in Iraq to operate under the Rixos brand. The developer said the construction phase is expected to create an average of 7,600 jobs a year, while the operating phase is projected to provide 3,100 jobs annually. The project will be managed by Accor Group, which operates more than 5,000 hotels worldwide. The complex will include luxury residences, villas, hotel rooms, five international restaurants, retail areas and sports facilities.
