Yemen's Houthis say they struck Saudi-backed fortifications in Mokha

Yemen's Houthi group said it targeted Saudi Arabia-backed military fortifications and weapons depots in the southwestern city of Mokha. Houthi spokesman Yahya Saree said the Yemeni armed forces carried out a broad operation and hit the fortifications and depots with precision. Saree said the attack used ballistic missiles and drones and destroyed equipment and weapons, adding that dozens of people were killed or wounded, including Saudi soldiers. Yemeni media reported explosions in Mokha and smoke rising from the area, while Yemeni sources said the Houthis fired more than 20 missiles at government-affiliated military positions and that the missiles reached their targets. The Houthis also said they separately targeted Aramco facilities in the Saudi city of Jizan with a drone. No immediate confirmation was available from Saudi or Yemeni government officials.
