BABYLON, Iraq โ A worker died on Friday in Babylon province when an iron bundle fell on him while being unloaded from a truck, a medical source at the Babylon Health Directorate said. The incident occurred in the Nil district, where a cargo unloading worker was struck by one of ten iron bundles, each weighing about 1.5 tons, as they were being removed from the vehicle.
The worker suffered severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical source. The total cargo load was approximately 15 tons.
Health and emergency teams were dispatched to the site after the accident but were unable to save the worker because of the severity of his injuries, the source said.
