Whoop, the U.S.-based wearable device company, shared health data from Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr match in the Saudi league. The data showed his heart rate rising from a normal 76 at kickoff to 122 after his first goal.
His pulse reportedly climbed to 157 when he scored a second-half free kick, before reaching a peak of 177 when he netted the match-winning second goal. Whoop said Ronaldo's physical exertion score was measured at 16.2.
The figures were released as a snapshot of the 39-year-old forward's performance during key moments of the game. They showed his heart rate rising sharply as the match intensified.
