The Iraqi Meteorological Authority has released a four-day weather forecast indicating clear skies and rising temperatures across the country starting Sunday. Central regions are expected to see a slight increase in heat, while northern and southern provinces will maintain current temperature levels.
Peak temperatures on Sunday are projected to reach 40°C in Dhi Qar and Basra. Baghdad, Karbala, Diyala, and Wasit will experience highs of 37°C, while Kirkuk and Nineveh are forecast at 33°C. The Kurdistan region will see temperatures ranging between 29°C and 31°C.
Clear conditions and a continued upward trend in temperatures are expected to persist through Monday and Tuesday. By Wednesday, temperatures will stabilize across the central and southern regions.
The northern region is anticipated to experience a slight increase in temperatures on Wednesday, marking the end of the current four-day forecast period.
