US dollar extends decline against Iraqi dinar in Baghdad, Erbil

BAGHDAD, Iraq — The US dollar continued to slide against the Iraqi dinar in currency exchanges in Baghdad and Erbil on Wednesday, easing from the previous session. In Baghdad, the exchange rate fell by two dinar from the prior day to 141,900 dinar per dollar at city exchange offices. The selling price of 100-dollar banknotes stood at 142,000 dinar, while the buying price was recorded at 141,900 dinar. On Tuesday, those same 100-dollar notes had sold for 142,200 dinar and were bought for 142,000 dinar. In Erbil, the dollar's selling rate was set at 142,200 dinar and the buying rate at 142,100 dinar. The currency's movement in both cities pointed lower compared with the previous trading day, according to the reported exchange-office figures.
