WASHINGTON, United States — WASHINGTON — US President Donald Trump said on Monday that the United States holds an unlimited stockpile of high-quality ammunition, with current levels exceeding what is required for the Iran operation or any potential future conflicts. He added that the US is producing ammunition at an unprecedented pace and stockpiling for any emergency.
Trump said the ammunition is being kept for US use, but that sales to allies will resume shortly. He did not specify a timeline or which allies would receive shipments.
The president also claimed that the previous administration under former President Joe Biden sent more ammunition to Kyiv than it has used in Iran, and that Ukraine did not bear the cost of that assistance. Trump said hundreds of billions of dollars were given to Ukraine and NATO at no cost and argued that European countries should have covered the expense, adding that the US would seek repayment.
