Three killed in shooting near Idaho restaurant; gunman among dead

TWIN FALLS, Idaho — Three people were killed in a shooting near an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, according to local officials and Reuters. City spokesperson Josh Palmer said the attack was reported in a busy commercial area of the city and that the threat was neutralized within about an hour. Palmer said one of the three people killed was the gunman himself. At least two other people were wounded. Police Chief Matthew Hicks told reporters the gunman had been "neutralized" and that there was no remaining threat to the public. Hicks said officers were working to identify the gunman and determine a motive. The Twin Falls Police Department closed roads leading to the area and a nearby bridge after the initial report. Twin Falls is a city of about 50,000 people in south-central Idaho, about 160 kilometers east of Boise. The investigation is ongoing.
