BAGHDAD, Iraq โ Iraq's Security Media Cell has dismissed reports that US warplanes landed at the Ain al-Asad Air Base in Anbar province, calling the claims unfounded and unsupported by any official information. Cell head Brigadier General Saad Maan said in a written statement that the reports circulating on social media and in some news outlets do not reflect the truth and lack any official data or confirmation.
Maan urged media outlets and social media users to prioritize accuracy in their reporting, consult official sources, and refrain from giving credibility to unverified information. The cell said it issued the statement to prevent further speculation about the base, which is located in western Anbar.
The Security Media Cell did not provide additional details on the origin of the reports or the specific aircraft referenced. No further information was immediately available.
