Talebe held by Karkh, Najaf beat Zoraya in Iraqi Premier League

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Talebe drew 1-1 with Baghdad Karkh in the final round of the Iraqi Premier League on Monday evening at Zoraya Stadium. Ala Abdulzehra scored for Talebe in the 26th minute, while Zidan Abdülcabbar equalized for Karkh in the 80th minute. The result lifted Talebe to 65 points in fifth place. Karkh finished seventh with 60 points. In the other match played at the same time, Najaf defeated Zoraya 1-0. Najaf scored in the 38th minute when Zoraya player Ali Cedan put the ball into his own net.
