Syrian singer Faya Yunan announces engagement to Iraqi filmmaker

Syrian artist Faya Yunan announced her engagement on Friday to Iraqi cinematographer and film producer Sargun Hermez Behram, sharing the news through her social media accounts. Yunan posted romantic photos from the engagement, appearing in a simple outfit, and wrote: "I said YES! More beautiful than anything I ever imagined. The easiest yes of my life." Behram is an Assyrian Iraqi journalist known for her work in digital journalism, visual content production and documentary-style short films, with a stated focus on visual storytelling of human-interest stories. Alongside the engagement announcement, Yunan is preparing to release a new musical project titled "Fusul." The singer said the work, which features lyrics she wrote herself, will reflect a different phase of her life in each song.
