Suspect Accused of More Than 10 Thefts Detained in Erbil

ERBIL, Iraq — Security forces in Erbil detained a suspect accused of involvement in multiple theft cases, officials said. According to the officials, the suspect is believed to have stolen large amounts of cash and valuable items in more than 10 robbery and theft incidents in the city. The arrest was carried out in an ambush set up after surveillance and intelligence work. The suspect is being held under a judicial order, and an official investigation is under way.
