Sulaymaniyah-Iran Flights Set to Resume on Friday

Tourism companies in Sulaymaniyah said flights to Iran will resume on Friday, a move expected to support holiday travel during the upcoming break. They said significant numbers of tourists are anticipated from both Iran and Iraq’s central and southern provinces. The companies said preparations for the Eid holiday have been completed. Sulaymaniyah, known for its mild weather and tourist sites, draws large numbers of visitors every year. Air traffic in the region had been affected in recent weeks by security tensions and developments involving the United States, Israel and Iran. The resumption of flights is expected to ease travel flows during the holiday period.
