Sudan's RSF says it repelled attack in North Darfur, captured 42 vehicles

Sudan's Rapid Support Forces said it repelled an attack in the Ambro area of North Darfur state, killing hundreds of fighters and seizing more than 42 combat vehicles. In a statement, the RSF pledged to protect civilians in the region and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, urging residents to stay away from combat zones. The group said the attack was aimed at slowing the advance of the Sudan Founding Alliance in Kordofan and Blue Nile. Separately, Sudanese authorities announced that two RSF units had defected to the army. According to a statement from the Ed-Debeeb local administration, the 55th and 47th groups, comprising 21 commanders and 270 soldiers, joined the army's ranks.
