Iraq striker Mimi returns to Police Club ahead of new season

BAGHDAD, Iraq — Iraq national team forward Mihend Ali, widely known as "Mimi," has rejoined Police Club after signing a contract with the Baghdad-based side, the club confirmed on the opening day of the 2026-2027 Iraq Stars League. The club said the striker would be an attacking option in the squad for the new season. Police Club, known among fans as "Kithara," announced the move on the first day the league season began. According to the club, several northern clubs offered Mihend Ali high financial terms during the transfer window, but the player turned them down to return to the club where he developed.
