Spain to face France in 2026 World Cup semifinal after wins over Belgium, Morocco

Spain and France will meet in the semifinals of the 2026 World Cup after both advanced from the quarterfinals on Saturday. France beat Morocco 2-0 to reach the last four, while European champion Spain edged Belgium 2-1. The semifinal will be played on Tuesday, 14 July 2026, at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, kicking off at 22:00 Mecca time. The winner will face the team that advances from the Argentina–England match in the final on 19 July. Spain has beaten France in their last three knockout meetings, including the 2012 European Championship quarterfinal, the 2024 European Championship semifinal, and a 5-4 victory in last year's UEFA Nations League semifinal.
