MOSUL, Iraq โ Seven people were wounded in two separate knife fights in the western side of Mosul, a security source in Nineveh province said. The first incident occurred in the Zinjili district, where five members of the same family were injured in a domestic dispute and taken to Umm er-Ribian Emergency Hospital.
In the second incident, two people were wounded with bladed weapons in the Wadi Aqab industrial area and transferred to the same hospital. No details were provided on the condition of the injured, and both patients were said to be receiving medical treatment.
The security source said law enforcement units have opened investigations into both incidents and increased security measures in the surrounding areas. Investigators are working to identify the parties involved and determine the circumstances of the fights, according to the source.
Authorities said inquiries in the district are ongoing.
