SalamAir to launch Muscat–Erbil flights on October 25, expanding Iraq network

MUSCAT, Oman — Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir announced it will begin direct flights between Muscat and Erbil on October 25, 2026, marking the airline’s second destination in Iraq after Baghdad. The carrier said the new route will strengthen direct connectivity with the Gulf region and better serve passenger demand. SalamAir officials stated that ticket sales have started through the airline’s sales channels and that flights on the route are planned to operate on a regular weekly schedule. The Erbil service is part of SalamAir’s strategy to expand its international network beyond the Gulf. The airline said the new route will improve access for business and tourism travel to and from northern Iraq.
