Russia's Defense Ministry said its air defenses intercepted 92 Ukrainian drones across multiple regions and over the Sea of Azov over a 13-hour period on July 4. According to the ministry, the interceptions occurred between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time.
The ministry said the drones were detected and destroyed over the Belgorod, Kursk, Leningrad, Tver, Smolensk and Pskov regions, as well as over the Republic of Crimea and the waters of the Sea of Azov. Air defense systems remained active in their designated areas, it added.
Earlier the same day, the ministry had reported that 389 Ukrainian drones were downed overnight in Russia's southwestern regions. No further details were immediately available.
