BAGHDAD, Iraq โ A man was killed in an armed attack at a mosque in Klela, a district in Kirkuk province administered by the Kurdistan Region's Germiyan administration, a health source told Shafaq News on Monday.
The victim, identified as Karam Ibrahim, born in 1963, was brought to Shaheed Hezar Emergency Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and died despite medical intervention, the source said. Initial reports indicated the attack took place at Taqwa Mosque, where the gunman opened fire on the victim.
Local sources said the assailant's identity and the motive behind the attack remained unclear, and no details were available on whether the attacker had been apprehended. Further information had not been released as of the time of reporting.
